Where were you? 

Me?

I was a freshmen at college when I got the frantic phone call from my mother telling me what has happened. I didn't believe what she was saying was true. So, in disbelief I turned on the television where the nightmare as Americans began...

I couldn't understand the world we lived in was no longer safe. There were evil people that were willing to take innocent people's lives and for what? To prove that the Middle East has taken everything from us.

9.11 was such a sad day for everyone but I couldn't imagine what the people who lost loved ones on the day were feeling. The loved ones in the plane, the buildings, or the brave firemen trying to save lives. 

What this day has taught all of us is how United we are. I feel everyone honored and loved this country a little more by the events that happened that fateful day.

So, take a moment reflect why you love this country and remember as Americans we stand united.

In other news, today is my dads birthday! 

Yes, a former bomber fighter jet shares a birthday with 9.11 events.

Fashion week 2016

It is the start of New York fashion week!!

Yesterday Lauren Conrad made her debut back to the runway! I just love her esthetic, it is so feminine, and in touch with today's woman. Best pet is her looks are affordable to the everyday woman!! Can't wait to get these looks in spring!!

Mine has to be what Lauren is wearing or the pink coat with sparkly dress!

Planners

Planners!

I do not about you guys but I am very old fashioned when it comes to detailing my work and social schedule!

 I cannot use my iPhone for my calendar and weekly schedule! I do not know why but I love the sense of writing out my schedule for the week,all of my social events, birthdays, weddings, you name it!! 

2015 is coming to an end which makes me even more excited to buy a brand new clean, untouched crisp planner!! So here are some of my favorites!

1) Kate spade. I have had the stripe one, the polka dot one and this would be my third! maybe???

2) lily Pulitzer- so feminine and girly. But this is very similar to Kate spade. 

Possibly???

3) large gold planner from paper source. It's very plain, simple and something I would have used in college. Not sure this is it!

4) florabunda- so beautiful and best part it comes with stickers!! Who doesn't love stickers??!! Unfortunately, this one is sold out everywhere! So I have to wait a bit if I want this one!  Love it!!

My weekend

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a blessed and wonderful weekend. I know I did!! 

My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary in Monterey, where we got married. It was so surreal. To think what was happening a year ago on the day. Made me a little sad because that was truly the  best day of our lives! My best friend said it best. It will be the only time in your lives where all your family and friends will be at the same place to celebrate with you!! 

So what did we do....

Earlier in the week he gave me these beautiful roses!! Aren't they gorgeous!!

I made him our vows to hang up in our home. I was told one year is paper...

Then we made it to our hotel where we had his and hers drinks. Can you tell which one is mine?? Hahah

We cruised the streets of Monterey.

Had lunch at our wedding spot!!

Walked along the beach....

Had dinner with this guy!! Elevator pictures are a must!!

Sadly said goodbye!!

It truly was a remarkable weekend with this wonderful husband of mine! Looking forward to celebrating many more anniversaries and memories together!

Yay!! Its September! I'm so ready for fall weather, warm coats, scarfs, and well everyone's favorite pumpkin lattes!!! But me I just want pumpkin bread from Trader Joes! So tell me, what are you looking forward to the most in Fall??

VMA's

Woah??!! Did that really happen? I'm sure are the words out of anyone today. I did not watch the whole show... because besides Taylor Swift I can't believe any of these artists are good role models. I mean Miley Cyrus as the host?? I'm confused were the producers aware of her famous performance 2 years ago where she dry humped a teddy bear. Nonetheless, there were some great fashion choices and well...I think we all know who made the major fails. AHEM it rhymes with Smiley.


Britney Spears- okay say what you want but Britney looked fit, toned, and super sexy. Yet nothing was inappropriate. I feel like the VMA's are the only reward show where it is okay to show a little skin!

 

 

Nick Jonas- This guy really has had the best year yet!! His music is fresh and he really knows how to dress the part. He reminds me of an old school JT.



 

Vanessa Hudgens- She looked so ethereal last night. I heard she was a bridal inspiration for bohemian brides everywhere. I can definitely see this being a look for outdoor Spring/Summer weddings.

 

 

 

Miley Cyrus- I feel like Miley try's to push the fashion boundaries as much as she can without getting black boxed out by the cable companies. I mean what is great about this look? It's not even cute its just trashy.

 

 

Chrissy Teigen- I love her fashion choices. They are bold but perfect. She take risks but they work. And above all she never pushes the limits.

 

Demi Lovato -I love this super feminine look she wore last night. Usually she dresses very hard, so this was a nice fresh look for her.  

 

Taylor Swift  - Does Taylor ever wear anything wrong?? I don't think so. She has the best stylist in town. Because every red carpet appearance she looks polished and poised. The girl can do no wrong!

 

Jeremy Scott - So this guy is a designer and this is what he chose to wear? I'm so confused. I do not even know where to begin!!

 

Kelly Osbourne - First of all- why was Kelly Osbourne giving fashion critiques when she didn't even dress well herself. And second I was very upset Nick Jonas was dancing with her!!

Five on Friday

[ONE]
GIANTS! Tonight I'm finally going to my first game of the season. Yes I know they have been playing for almost 5 months and I'm finally getting to go! Sad but true.
Look for me in the bleachers. I will be there with my husband, SIL and crazy parents!!

[TWO]

4 Words Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence. I mean they are the younger version of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. And I heard they are doing a movie script. I mean can I join their fun and be besties?? And why wasn't I invited to dance on top of Billy Joel's piano last night!

 

 

 

[THREE]

 

1 week and I will finally be on vacation even if it is just for 4 days. Going back to where it all began to Monterey to celebrate my Hubby and mine 1 year!! I really am in shock this anniversary came so soon. In need of some help what should I get this wonderful man of mine. The first year says paper? so any suggestions??

 

 

 

 

[FOUR]

My weekend consists of getting my hair done, and finishing decorating. It is so hard to want to stay inside when the weather is so delightful outside!!

 

[FIVE]

Can I just say how over I am with the hot 90 degree weather from dawn to dusk every day this week!
I cannot wait for fall to hit so I'm not judged for making pumpkin bread too early! So I'm thinking at this rate that will be in January!

Bad 2015 Fashion

There is always a few designers that think that 1990 was a great time in fashion history. I do not know why???!!! I mean we all remember the neon lipsticks, the overalls, jelly shoes RIGHT? These were not cute looks at all. Nonetheless, there is going to be that one girl that can always pull it off. I'm hoping this girl is in High School though...you will not be catching me in any of these outfits. What are your thoughts??
